Support Army strategic leadership through the management of Defense Travel Service (DTS) portfolios related to the FAO program in the Army Strategic Leadership Division (SSF). Review Standard Form 182s, Commercial Invoices and DTS requests/vouchers for compliance with policy, DoD Regulations and the law. Make recommendations to achieve compliance. Prepare travel instructions for iterative and invitational events like Strategic Broadening Seminars, Joint FAO Orientation Course and the Basic Strategic Arts Program. Should be familiar with Department of the Army PAM 600-3,

 

Commissioned Officer Professional Development and Career Management, Army Regulation 621-7 Army Fellowships and Scholarships, Army Regulation 350-100 Officer Active Duty Service Obligations, and DAMO-SSF FAO travel guides/policy. Specialist will also support division requirements to include the SSF division budget. Attend meetings, take notes and compose after action reviews as needed. Organize division level synch meetings. Assist SSF to collect, analyze and process budget requirements for training, travel and embassy-based needs of the FAO trainee population. Assist in organizing collaborative work over virtual environments (MS Teams and SharePoint). Prepare SSF projections for POM, annual, quarterly and monthly SSF budget requirements to include Embassy Leased Housing, Strategist Training, FAO Training and Strategic Broadening Seminars. Capture, track and analyze the current fiscal year execution data (obligations) for all program elements, agreements and initiatives and performing variance analyses of financial performance against stated requirements. Identify any unfunded requirements (UFR) and analyze the operational effects and risks to successful program execution. The specialist should be familiar with ETMS2 or its predecessor, TMT, and must demonstrate competency in using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Office Excel, PowerPoint and Word written products. Preference for experience organizing teams collaboratively in virtual (Teams/SharePoint) environments.
